The Ones Within Season 2 also known as Nakanohito Genome in Japanese, is an anime series that falls under the comedy, and it revolves around the game theme. The Ones Within is an adaptation based on a manga of the same title written and illustrated by Osora.
It started its serialization as a free-to-read manga in Pixic Comic in 2014, and it has been collected in ten tankōbon volumes by Media Factory, a Japanese publisher and brand company of Kadokawa Future Publishing.
The manga series has decent followers in Pixic Comic with a total of 200,000 followers. The first chapter has been scanned into English by Kirei Cake and switched to Träumerei Scans for the rest.

The Ones Within Season 2 Release Date
The Ones Within Season One was aired on July 7, 2019, and ran for 12 episodes before concluding on September 22 of the same year. It was followed by a single Ova episode on February 7, 2020, an original story included in the 10th volume of the manga series.
There has been no official confirmation from the makers. We don’t know whether the anime series will get a season renewal or not. The main reason is that the source material is currently not sufficient enough for another run, but the manga series is currently still up and running.
If a release date was given, we’d suggest that mid-2023 would be a fair prediction. Given the rate at which the manga is released and the typical duration, it takes for an anime to be made. That is extremely optimistic, to be honest.

The Ones Within Season 2 Plot
The plot of the anime, which follows our main character, Akatsuki Iride, an internet sensation known for his Let’s Play videos, begins when he wakes up in a hospital room after having been out cold for four days. There has been a significant increase in missing children cases in Japan, and there has been no viable solution to the problem.
When Akatsuki plays a magic video game that transports him into the video game world, everything changes. This is the world to which all of the other children vanished. Despite his trepidation, Akatsuki had been caught up in the game.
The kids and Akatsuki battle their innermost terrors and dark histories as they pursue their dreams. This is most certainly the case for those serving lengthy prison sentences, as they would acquire their freedom only after they complete the game and achieve salvation.
With no official plot synopsis announced, it is tricky to predict what will follow after the events of season one of The Ones Within. But those who are eager to know the happenings of this anime grab the light novel series and satiate their curiosity. Those of us who are non-readers have to wait patiently for the sequel.
