Guardian The Lonely and Great God Season 1 debuted in December 2016 to amazing success. Yoon stated in an interview that he wants Guardian The Lonely and Great God Season 2, but that Goblin Season 1 was where a recent post ended up.

Guardian The Lonely and Great God Season 1 were just amazing, and fans got too attached to this series and badly wanted the show to return for the season and are waiting for the release date of the Second installment. However, the series studio still has not announced any release date or release time. According to the Sources the show might release date Goblin Season 2 might not arrive until early-2024.

WHAT WILL SEASON 2 OF GUARDIAN THE LONELY AND GREAT GOD BE ABOUT?

Guardian The Lonely and Great God Season 2 official storyline is still unavailable. But in case the show gets officially renewed, it will logically pick up from the end of season one.  The show follows the story of an unbeatable general, Kim Shin, who was framed as a traitor and killed by a young king who’s jealous of his abilities.

After his death, Kim Shin was cursed by the almighty to become immortal to witness his loved ones’ death as a punishment for all the people he killed while he was a general. He then becomes a Dokkaebi (Goblin). The only person who could end Kim Shin’s suffering is the Goblin’s bride. Kim Shin spent 900 years waiting for the human bride that will free him from the curse of immortality.

Goblin Season 1 had an open ending, which was interpreted in different ways by its viewers. The ending did not clarify whether Kim Shin’s finally allowed to die after meeting and ultimately falling in love with his human bride. If the show ever gets renewed for Goblin Season 2, we can expect to see a continuation of Kim Shin and his bride Ji Eun Tak’s love story.

HOW MANY EPISODES WILL THE GUARDIAN THE LONELY AND GREAT GOD SEASON 2 HAVE?

Guardian The Lonely and Great God Season 1 has 16 Episodes, and all the Episodes were full of entertainment. If Season 2 gets renewed, the new season will also have the same number of Episodes, or maybe a few more episodes will be added in Season 2.
